CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARDS 2022

CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARDS are established to celebrate women in cybersecurity. The awards aim to recognize outstanding women working in cybersecurity and privacy. The prizes intend to encourage young females to continue pursuing their careers in cybersecurity and praise prominent women for their outstanding contributions and achievements.

CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARDS cover different areas of the cybersecurity ecosystem, as detailed below.

CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARD on ENTREPRENEURSHIP

This prize intends to recognize woman entrepreneurs who have founded or co-founded a company/startup focusing on topics related to cybersecurity and privacy.

The award winners will be invited to participate in the CONCORDIA Open Door 2022 event and give a pitch to present their companies/startups. CONCORDIA will provide financial support for travel and accommodation. The award winners will also be asked to record a short video featuring their companies to promote the award recipients on CONCORDIA channel.

Eligibility: At the time of submission, the headquarters of the applicant’s company/startup has to be registered in one of the member states of the EU or candidate countries to join the European Union.

Application: 

  1. Company/startup presentation. A short description of the applicant’s company/startup (max. 2 pages) summarizing its history, business and its impact on market and society.
  2. CV of woman entrepreneurs, company/startup’s (co)-founder. 

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Impact: Defined in terms of benefits the services/products provided by the company/startup brings to EU digital sovereignty mission and to the society. 
  • Innovation: Level of innovation brought to the EU market by services/products provided by the company/startup

CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARD on EDUCATION

The prize intends to recognize individuals or companies/organizations actively involved in designing and delivering cybersecurity educational and training actions targeting women and young females. The award winners, or their representatives in the case of companies/organizations, will be invited to participate in the CONCORDIA Open Door event and to present their educational/training activities. CONCORDIA will provide financial support for travel and accommodation. The award winners will also be asked to record a short video showing their training and/or educational activities to promote the award recipients on CONCORDIA channel.

Eligibility: At the time of submission, the applicant has to be enrolled in a company/organization whose headquarters is registered in one of the member states of the EU or candidate countries to join the European Union.

Application:

  1. Company/organization presentation. A short description of the applicant’s company/organization (max. 2 pages) to summarize their training/educational actions and their impacts on society.
  2. List of cybersecurity education and training actions targeting women/young females.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Impact: Defined in terms of benefits educational/training actions have brought to the society
  • Novelty: defined in terms of contents and methodology of implemented educational/training actions.

CONCORDIA WOMEN’s AWARD on INDUSTRY

The prize intends to recognize SME cybersecurity companies who implement successfully gender equality actions to diversify the workspace. The award winners, aka their representative, will be invited to participate in the CONCORDIA Open Door event 2022 and to present their companies. CONCORDIA will provide financial support for travel and accommodation. The award winners will also be asked to record a short video showing the actions implemented by their companies to promote the award recipients on CONCORDIA channel.

Eligibility: At the time of submission, the headquarters of the applicant’s company/organization has to be registered in one of the member states of the EU or candidate countries to join the European Union.

Application:

  1. Company presentation. A short description of the SME company (max. 2 pages) to summarize the implemented gender equality actions and their impacts on company organization.

Evaluation Criteria:

  • Impact: Defined in terms of benefits the gender equality actions have brought to the company.
  • Novelty: defined in terms of methodology of implemented actions.

Award selection committee

The award selection committee consists of 5 cybersecurity experts, among which three are outside the CONCORDIA consortium. 

Submission and deadline.

All application materials must be submitted via email to womenincyber@concordia-h2020.eu starting from 4th July 2022 to 9th September 2022. All material must be submitted in English, PDF format is preferred.
